Master Sergeant Jeffrey Mittman was wounded by a roadside bomb on July 7, 2005 in Baghdad, Iraq. The bomb, which left him with several severe injuries, blinded him in his left eye. Through a training program at NIB, Mittman transitioned into a new civilian career. He supported NIB’s business development initiatives and served as an example to others with disabilities that overcoming tremendous adversity is possible.
