A former medical specialist in the U.S. Army, Sharon Giovinazzo lost her sight in 2001 to multiple sclerosis. While working at the Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Utica, New York, she had an opportunity to participate in NIB’s Business Management Training Program. In 2008, Giovinazzo joined NIB as a legislative affairs specialist, before relocating to Raleigh, North Carolina to oversee RLCB, Inc.'s development and community relations programs.
