Jeanne L. Morin
Jeanne Morin, president of the Washington, D.C. consulting firm Public Policy Advisors, has extensive experience in legislative and regulatory issues affecting businesses, non-profit associations, local governments, and federally recognized Indian tribes. Ms. Morin assists clients in identifying legislative and policy proposals that affect their interests, then works to formulate and implement strategic initiatives to positively influence those issues through the legislative and regulatory processes for issues ranging from travel and tourism to federal-Indian policy to disability policy and federal procurement. She also has helped public-sector and not-for-profit clients secure federal funding for projects ranging from highway improvements to a program to provide upward mobility for persons with disabilities. Prior to opening her own firm, Ms. Morin was a consultant with Akerman LLP, a law firm with offices in Washington, D.C.
Ms. Morin previously served as minority policy director on the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Small Business, where she participated in drafting legislation to increase the flow of capital to smaller firms. She gained valuable experience in trade association management while serving as executive director of the National Association of Development Companies, a trade group of small business lenders. As a small business lobbyist for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Morin helped design and enact legislation to open export markets and federal procurement opportunities to small and emerging growth firms.
