August 13, 2012, ALEXANDRIA, VA– Today, National Industries for the Blind (NIB) and its nationwide network of associated nonprofit agencies launched the first annual NIB/NAEPB Grassroots Forum. During the week-long effort, NIB’s associated agencies will engage Members of Congress, state and local leaders, and customers in a nationwide effort called, “Building Relationships at Home!”
National Industries for the Blind Achieves Successful ISO 9001:2008 External Audit for 2012
Annual surveillance audit covers major requirements;
re-certification audit scheduled for 2013
August 14, 2012, ALEXANDRIA, VA – National Industries for the Blind (NIB) successfully passed its ISO 9001:2008 external audit for 2012, an annual two-day “surveillance” process that covers major requirements of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard. No non-conformities were found during the audit, conducted by Bureau Veritas, which provides conformity assessment and certification services.
