Solutions for Government

National Industries for the Blind offers an extensive range of SKILCRAFT products and services, delivered by a highly skilled yet largely untapped workforce of people who are blind.

NIB participates in the federal AbilityOne Program as an AbilityOne® Authorized Enterprise. Established by the Javits-Wagner-O’Day Act, the AbilityOne Program coordinates its activities with approximately 450 nonprofit organizations across the country to help approximately 40,000 people who are blind or have significant disabilities find employment providing goods and services to the federal government at fair market prices.

The AbilityOne Program is administered by the Committee for Purchase from People Who Are Blind or Severely Disabled (operating as the U.S. AbilityOne Commission), an independent federal agency. For additional information about the Javits-Wagner-O’Day (JWOD) Act and the AbilityOne Program, visit www.abilityone.gov.
