Laura Reimers is vice president, communications, at National Industries for the Blind (NIB), where she provides vision, leadership, and direction for all marketing and communications efforts to increase awareness of the mission and brand among targeted stakeholders. Ms. Reimers’s oversight includes corporate communications and marketing, advertising, digital and social media, product marketing, packaging design, conferences and events, crisis communications, and media relations.
Before joining NIB, she was a senior communications consultant with McKinley Marketing Partners, where she led communications initiatives and projects for a diverse group of clients including NIB, Discovery Channel’s Animal Planet, and T. Rowe Price. Prior to that, Ms. Reimers was the senior vice president, marketplace development, for Bid4Assets, Inc.
She spent more than eight years with Discovery Communications, Inc., in various roles, including serving as vice president, communications (Discovery Health Media and FitTV), ensuring the company and its programs remained reputable and current by providing counsel to top-level executive leadership on strategy development and robust integrated marketing and communication plans.
Ms. Reimers holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Manhattan College in Riverdale, New York.
